inabilities

over the years, i have started writing many journals with the intent of writing every day. so far, none have gone longer than about a month. we shall see if this one is any different.

this is the last week of class at JCC for the fall '08 semester. the two classes i took have been a true learning experience. one thing they have shown me is how quickly time flies by when you are doing something you truly enjoy. other students in the classes i took couldn't wait for class to let out so they could go do what they wanted. me on the other hand, i hated when class was over for the day. i wanted to stay and keep working on the new concepts that had been brought up so i would not forget them. being old, i think, makes my brain less likely to retain new knowledge long unless i practice it a few times.

so, after i take the english final next tuesday, there is nothing to do except wait for class to start again in january.

or maybe not.

the english class reawakened my desire to write. back in middle and high school, i was always writing. somtimes it was only in my head for lack of paper, but a lot of times i got it down on paper. some of my work has been saved through the years, and some is lost forever. once again, writing is the air i breath.

the photography class is not what renewed my desire to photograph, although it has added new skills for me to use. what started me back on photography was getting to photograph my husband's nieces wedding this past may. untill then, i had not found my lost desire. now, this electronic device is once again my constant companion.
